Walk-A-Thon - School Fundraiser
Our School Walk-A-Thon takes place Thursday May 16th.
Our Walk-A-Thon is in full swing next week. Students came home with all the information last week. I have attached it all again to this his email in the event this was lost. At Isabel Campbell we don’t sell chocolate bars, and rely on the walk-a-thon as our only fundraiser for school items. We hope that the funds raised will be enough to sustain our school over the next couple years to pay for Interschool Athletics Opportunities, Fields Trips, Uniforms, Presentations such as Alberta Opera, School Celebrations, Recess Equipment etc. This year we have also worked with your School Council, and are will be using some of the funds to add a bench and planters near the entrance to the school.
How it Works
- All Students will take Part on May 16th (Some on May 15th due to Kindergarten schedules and Junior High Track Schedules).
- Students complete 300m laps around our field for one hour. Each lap is counted by the teacher.
- For each lap completed, students earn one ticket for our prize draw.
- We also have a prize draw for our top earners, and additional tickets for every 10 dollars earned.
- The event takes place on the 16th, with all funds due to the school on the 29th. Prizes will be awarded at an afternoon assembly on the 30th.
Our Top Prizes this year are two Nintendo Switch Video Game Systems. We also have numerous other prizes available.
Parents you are welcome to join us for the huge school event May 16th 1:00pm – 2:00pm (weather permitting).
